Formed 1993 in Sydney by Chris Dubrow vocalist from Soulscraper - Insurge released 2 albums and numerous EPs of political industrial-(cyber)punk-rock. They were signed to a major label and received a lot of radio airplay on the national Triple J station. The "Political Prisoners" song was voted at No. 25 on the Triple J Hottest 100 for 1995; "Speculator" was voted at No. 69 in 1996. The debut album "Power to the Poison People" reached No. 20 in the Australian charts. For several years they toured constantly around Australia (once to New Zealand) including tours with Pop Will Eat Itself and White Zombie. They also played at many festivals such as Alternative Nation (1995), Livid (1996) and the Big Day Out (1996, 1997). The band was discontinued in 2000 though was resumed for occasional gigs in 2009 and toured with Def FX in 2012.
