SoulscraperFormed 1991 in Melbourne; cyberpunk-electro-industrial-techno-rock. They released several EP CDs which received national radio airplay and were popular in alternative nightclubs. They toured around the major cities playing live with (then) popular UK artists like Pop Will Eat Itself, Neds Atomic Dustbin, The Shamen and at the first Melbourne Big Day Out festival in 1993. The band split up later that year. Vocalist/guitarist Chris Dubrow went on to form a very similar sounding project called Insurge. Other members formed or played in other notable Australian industrial-goth-electronica bands like Snog, Discordia, Ragewar, Sobriquet and The Crystalline Effect.
