Formed in 2003, Sydney. The Presets have become very successful with influences that clearly include EBM (electronic body music), electro-industrial, synth-punk, synth-pop, electroclash and darkwave. Their 2008 album 'Apocalypso' debuted at number 1 on the Australian Albums Chart. They were awarded "Best Dance Release" and "Best Group" at the Australian Music ARIA Awards in 2008. They were the first electronic group to win "Album of the Year". In 2009 they won an Australian APRA Award for "Songwriters of the Year" and another ARIA Award for "Best Dance Release" for 'Talk Like That'. They have released numerous albums and EPs and toured Australia, Europe and North America numerous times. Their most popular songs include 'My People', 'This Boy's in Love' and 'Are you the one?'
